Cancellation Policies

Refunds issued per a customer’s request will be less a $60 cancellation fee for session classes, full or multi-day workshops & camps. Refunds for single workshops up to 3 hours will be less a $25 cancellation fee. In the case of the studio’s decision to cancel a class or workshop, a full refund will be issued.

Refunds for regularly scheduled classes and short format workshops (up to 3hrs) are available up to 7 days before the start of a class, after which point no refunds will be given. We understand life happens so in the event you need to cancel within 7 days, a credit may be given only if we can fill the vacant spot, but this is not guaranteed. Registration fees are not transferrable to other current or future classes. A class session may not be split between multiple people but you are welcome to gift the entire class or workshop to someone if you are unable to participate.
By signing up for a session class you are committing to be able to make it to all classes in a session. We can not offer make-up classes, refunds or credits once a session has started. If you are unable to attend a class for any reason, it is not the responsibility of the studio to accommodate you.

Refunds (less the $60 cancellation fee) for full day workshops, multi-day workshops & camps will be given up to 4 weeks before the workshop date. Your registration means the studio and instructors are preparing for you to be a part of the workshop and it’s not always be possible to fill a vacated spot on short notice in a workshop that requires planning and preparation on both the studio and participants’ parts. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise so we will try to fill your spot if you need to cancel for an emergency. While there is no guarantee, if we are able to fill the vacancy we will gladly refund you less the cancellation fee.

Certain workshops, camps and privately scheduled events are subject to specific cancellation policies. Always read product descriptions and correspondences thoroughly.

There must be at least 6 students to run a session class or workshop. If there are not enough students the class may be cancelled and a full refund will be given to those who already have paid or, if space allows, a spot in another class will be made available.  We will try to give as much notice as possible in the event we need to cancel, but we often get last minute registrations making it difficult to predict.

Private Lessons- At least 48hrs notice must be given for cancellation of or to reschedule private lessons. During holiday weeks & weekends we require 5 days notice to cancel. This includes Christmas/New Years, Presidents Week, Memorial & Labor Day weekends and the week surrounding the 4th of July.

Raku Workshops- There must be at least 4 participants to run a Raku workshop. Due to the nature of preparation for such a workshop, refunds or transfers will not be given less than 4 weeks from the workshop date. We need to give ample notice to other participants if the workshop will be cancelled due to lack of participants and we can not fill vacated spots without enough time for participants to make and bisque fire work. We will not refund or let someone transfer to a later date because they did not have work ready in time.

Blockhouse reserves the right to deny admission to classes. If a person who has registered online is denied, they will be refunded.

Classes may be cancelled due to Covid-19 or any other widespread illness, either from a local outbreak or a state-wide shutdown. If this should happen, a refund will not be possible. However, a credit for the value of 50% of the cancelled classes will be provided if rescheduling is not possible.
WE CAN NOT REFUND OR ALLOW STUDENTS TO MAKE UP ANY MISSED CLASSES DUE TO ILLNESS OR ANY OTHER REASON AT THIS TIME.
